Here are 5 Reasons Why Hiring a Wedding Planner is Surprisingly Beneficial:

1. They can get you discounts.
Wedding planners are price-conscious and great at negotiations. They had established connections with wedding suppliers and can get you a reliable event vendor at a “supplier’s rate”. It would be a helpful key for couples who have a strict budget on their wedding. Wedding planners can make deals for you with their trusted suppliers that fits your budget. If you want extravagant or affordable event styling, they can get you the best for your budget. They know who are the ripped off event decorators and the honest and reliable one. It is a big plate searching and dealing with Photographers, Event Host, Catering Services, Reception decors, transportation rentals, cake, hotels bookings, bridal shops, invitation suppliers, souvenirs, makeup artists and more! Your wedding planner can call these event vendors and talk to them in one seating. They will do the talking and negotiation for you. Event vendors does not give discounts that easily, your wedding planner can give you that privilege. Wedding planners will help you avoid mistakes in planning and unnecessary overhead costs.

2. Gain a friend and build a long term business relationship.
At many times, couples would choose the most expensive and famous if their budget permits. Others would chose a planner because the package offered is cheap. Do not rush yourself in choosing a wedding planner, take time to meet them in person, observe their way of answering your questions and discussing budget options. Intelligence, professionalism and good charisma, these are the key characteristics that every great planner should have. Remember that you will be with them for the next six to twelve months, it is vital that you have chemistry, trust and mutual respect to each other. Make sure that your planner have good reviews, legit, have business permits and issues Business Bureau Official Receipts. Choose a wedding planner that have an office where you can consult and visit them anytime. Choose a wedding planner that have enough manpower to accommodate you in case they have out of town weddings and you need an urgent matter to be attended. Do not base your judgment on the price tag, believe in your gut feeling and pick the best one that suits your personality and style.

After your wedding day, your planner can still be a reliable source to your future events such as Christening, anniversary, birthdays and other special occasions. If you have a new product or a business that needs promotion, because of their wide connections, you can tap them for help and possibly become your business partner in the future!

5 Ultimate Guide to Writing Your Own Wedding Vows

Are you getting married and have no idea how to write your wedding vow? Sit down, read and start writing now!

Brides may be too caught up on focusing on what they are going to wear, how they are going to look on their wedding day and tends to forget about their wedding vowsVows are one of the highlights of weddings. They said having an extra emotion wedding vows leaves a remarkable wedding. Few weeks before your big day, find a relaxing place and sit down. Start writing down thoughts that hit you - but what is the right formula for writing vows?

Yes. You can sound “cheesy”, you can be frank too. We always want the perfect balance on how to say it. Few of us may do not know how to let out our feelings about someone whom we have known for how many years. It was easy when it would be just the two of you. But now, you would be having an audience, and everybody wants to hear what you are about to say! The big question is how do we condense our complete love story in just a span of 5 minutes, right? We might not expect it, after the wedding, saying the vows would be your favorite and most unforgettable part of your wedding day.

Here are the 5 tips on how to write your own wedding vows.

1.  Reminisce.
Travel again on those days that you have first met your partner, that very first day you have started feeling butterflies and get nervous on your very first date. Remember every important date nights and adventures you had that made you love your partner more. List down those memories. Just the highlights. The important note here is that  remember all the “firsts” you’ve made together before or after when you become a couple. Write it all down, including the feelings you have felt that day.

This would help you remember those magical moments. You can start your vows by telling those “firsts” you had with your partner and putting those emotions back on your wedding day. Start your vows with your favorite memories, how you’ve met and what you felt that day, tell your short love story and let your audience know of your brief love story.

2.  Confession.
When you are done with writing down the memories, it is time, to tell the truth. Time for revelations. Write down honest things on why you fell in love with your partner and how that love grew. Write down those things that you like about your partner (you can also put those things you hate about him too but in a funny way). This would be the part that you can get emotional and can put a little bit of humor also. You can start with the petty things you hated about him and then put a little joke on it for a transition. By starting on telling the things you have hated about him leaves an impression that you have love and accepted him even on his very worst.

3.  State your promises. In this phase of writing wedding vows, you now tell everyone what you would want to keep and what are you looking forward to in the next chapter of your lives as a married couple. Tell your dreams to everyone and say those promises that you want to keep until you get old together. Ensure that by stating your promises, your emotions would overpower than your words. Avoid cliche promises. Think of something that binds you from the beginning of the relationship. Something that you think would never fade between the two of you.

4. Be genuine.
Let your feelings out. Tell your partner that your feelings will not change but will even grow deeper as you spend your life together.  Love has no language. You can say what you feel in whatever form or whatever language you want to. Put jokes or humor to ease the heavy feelings. Put in your vows how excited are you to build a new family with your partner and to be as one. Also, you can put here how thankful you are for some people who helped your relationship throughout the highs and lows. Mention someone close to the both of you and someone who knows both of you too well.

5. Wrap it up.
In the last part, you should be done telling jokes already. Keep in mind that you don't want the wedding to be so emotional. It should not sound like a goodbye, but it should be something like a welcome to` a new phase of life as a new married couple. Do not forget to thank God, you being together is destined and plotted before you were even born. Love is a gift from God and it should be celebrated on your wedding day. End your vow with a bible verse and an unending expression of love, “I love you and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you”.
There will never be a perfect formula for a perfect wedding vow. Why? Because there will never be a perfect formula for love. Wedding vows are a celebration of new love and a journey. One of the reasons why we devote so much time writing it. Defining your love before saying I Do’s will be one of the most exciting part for the both of you. The secret for an awesome wedding vow would be to let your heart out, enjoy and trust your heart on the process.

6 Steps on Postponing Your Wedding Amidst COVID-19 Pandemic

During this unprecedented times, many engaged couples are left with no option but to postpone their wedding. The World Health Organization (WHO) and the government strictly limits group gatherings due to widespread of COVID-19.  Large events and mass gatherings can contribute to virus spread, travelers who attend the gathering can bring the virus to new communities. Prepare yourselves how to combat these challenges by following these 6 steps on postponing your wedding.

Wedding is a celebration of love and life together with your loved ones, the last thing that you want is to spread the virus and put their life at risk. It is for the greater good to postpone your wedding but do not fret. Love is what matters, if you have found your true love; you’re celebrating life!

Here are the 6 steps to take in postponing your wedding.

Step 1: Acceptance over distress

It’s okay to be upset, frustrations are there specially if you already spent money, time and effort on many preparations. This pandemic is a global health crisis and the only way to defeat it is to isolate people to avoid rampant spread. Though it is okay to feel broken, just be sure to restore yourself timely and start to look for a solution.

Step 2: Review your signed contracts and inform your wedding suppliers
Contracts with your wedding suppliers specifies rescheduling options, refund and event changes clause. Make sure you understand the contract and its limitations before meeting them. Be flexible and understanding to your suppliers, accept unattainable terms and date unavailability. Lastly, be prepared with your rebuttals when arguments arise.

Freeze your custom orders like invitation and souvenirs. Do not rush on deciding a new date, list down available dates and recommendations from your suppliers, this is vital for your decision making on the latter.

If you have made payment with no contract, list down your changes and discuss it with your wedding planner or supplier. Negotiate lightly and come up with an amendable agreement. Make sure to put it in writing and make a signed contract this time.

Step 3: Communicate with your guests
Inform your guests of your decision and consider those who reside abroad if they can make it. If others are not amendable of the changes, it’s an opportunity for you to save money and decrease your guest list. Contemplate on not inviting elderly and children below 10 yrs. old for they are those vulnerable of the virus.

Step 4 Decision making
Once you have gathered inputs from your wedding planner, church, guests and other suppliers, it’s time to decide on your new wedding date. Changing supplier is optional, but do not hesitate to change them if the relationship and trust has been tarnished. Your supplier’s attitude towards challenging times is an indication whether they are capable of doing things right. If you have decided to change the venue, you might want to change your wedding theme that matches the ambiance. Consider changing the dress code if you switched to outdoor or summer season. Once you have decided on the wedding changes, call your suppliers and make necessary bookings. Some event suppliers only cater one event per day, pay booking fees or negotiate payment options to ensure your date is blocked.

Step 5: Finalize your budget
Consider it a blessing if at the end of the day, you ended up saving more by rescheduling your wedding. If your expenses increased due to re-booking fees, you can lower your budget on decorations, entourage gowns, cake, souvenirs and use minimal flowers. Remove unnecessary expenses like pre-nup outfits, full band setup, violinist, expensive vintage bridal cars, lavish hotel rooms, expensive gifts for entourage and VIPs. Asking relatives and friends for sponsorship is also helpful. Downgrade on things listed above but never on food.

Step 6: Make announcement
Final changes of your wedding must be made official by distributing your revised invitation cards. Meanwhile, due to enhanced community quarantine situation, you may send a soft copy of your invitation cards through email or social media. Make personal phone calls to relatives who do not use social media channels.

My final advice is to take one step at a time. Do not overwhelm yourself on all task in one day. You might think that you have to plan the entire wedding all over again, but after a few emails and phone calls, your problem is solved. I know that every couple can’t wait to bring their families together, when this global health problem is over, your big celebration awaits! All of us, including my team will be back to our usual lives and it’s going to be more amusing this time! Remember that your event is not cancelled, you are only given more time to prepare and enjoy singlehood!
